LO SPETTACOLO:

La sera di venerdì 20 ottobre Costa Crociere, in occasione dei suoi 75 anni, offrirà alla città uno spettacolo mai visto in Italia: il Monumental Tour. L’evento, aperto al pubblico, si svolgerà alle 20:45 in Piazza Matteotti e sarà caratterizzato da uno spettacolo che intreccia musica elettronica, patrimonio culturale e arte digitale, creato dal DJ e produttore francese Michael Canitrot.

Il Monumental Tour nasce dall’idea di far interagire il patrimonio artistico delle città con le nuove tecnologie, riscoprendo i monumenti da un nuovo punto di vista, grazie alla musica elettronica suonata dal vivo da dj e set immersivi che fondono light-show e video-mapping.

Il monumento scelto per questa occasione è Palazzo Ducale. L’evento avrà inizio alle 20:45 con il dj set dell’artista italiano Dukwa. Dalle 21:30, la facciata principale del Palazzo, affacciata su Piazza Matteotti, si animerà in modo spettacolare, sincronizzata con la musica elettronica di Michael Canitrot accompagnata da uno spettacolo di luci e proiezioni di video mapping di grande impatto create dagli artisti visivi francesi collettivo, AV-EXTENDED.

Palazzo Ducale diventerà così il primo monumento artistico in Italia protagonista di questo tipo di spettacolo, dopo il Palais-Royal di Parigi, il Municipio di Lisbona, la Cattedrale di Laon, il Castello di Chantilly e Mont Saint-Michel, contribuendo alla sua valorizzazione culturale in un modo unico e innovativo.
L’iniziativa avrà il patrocinio del Comune di Genova e della Regione Liguria.

On the evening of Friday 20 October, Costa Crociere, on the occasion of its 75th anniversary, invite you for an unprecedented show in Italy : the Monumental Tour from the French DJ Michael Canitrot, an extraordinary show of electronic music, video-mapping and laser show, that will take place at the magnificent Palazzo Ducale in Piazza Matteotti, with the patronage of the Genoa City Council and the Liguria Regional Council.

The Monumental Tour was born from the idea of making the artistic heritage of cities interact with new technologies, rediscovering the monuments from a new point of view, thanks to electronic music played live by DJs and immersive sets that blend light-show and video-mapping.

The monument chosen for this occasion is Palazzo Ducale. The event will start at 8:45 pm with the DJ set by the Italian artist Dukwa. From 9:30 PM, the main facade of the palace, overlooking Piazza Matteotti, will come alive in a spectacular way, synchronized with the electronic music by Michael Canitrot accompanied by a mesmerizing light show and video mapping projections created by the French visual artists’ collective, AV-Extended.

Palazzo Ducale will thus become the first artistic monument in Italy to be the protagonist of this show, after the Palais-Royal in Paris, Lisbon City Hall, Laon Cathedral, Chantilly Castle, and Mont Saint-Michel, contributing to its cultural enhancement in a unique and innovative way. The initiative will have the patronage of the Municipality of Genoa and the Region of Liguria.
